Your Finnish teacher

My name is Leena-Maija Kenttämies. I am a qualified and approachable Finnish teacher, and I am ready to use all my skills to help you achieve your goals as a Finnish language user. I have over a decade of experience in teaching Finnish as a foreigner language. I have had students from all continents, from beginners to advanced, 6 to 60 year olds in integration education, vocational school as well as in primary school and lower secondary education.

I am passionate about Finnish grammar, but above all I am a practical teacher who listens carefully to the needs of the student. When the lessons are individually planned, learning is effective. I believe in the power of encouraging and developing feedback. I want to further strengthen the skills that the students already have, but I also dare to tell them where they need to improve.
